Three Teens Arrested in Connection With Bias Crime

"NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three 17-year-olds were arrested on hate crime charges after attacking two black teenagers while yelling racial epithets and ordering them to get out of their mostly white Brooklyn neighborhood, police said Thursday.

The white teenagers were arrested on charges including unlawful imprisonment, assault and aggravated harassment as hate crimes following the attack Monday in the Gerritsen Beach neighborhood, police said.

The two victims, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were left with minor bumps, bruises and cuts.

The three white boys are accused of stopping their car by the other two, who were riding bikes, before attacking them and then fleeing, police said.

Gerritsen Beach is located at the southeastern edge of the borough near Brooklyn Marine Park. According to the Web site of U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, who represents the area, the population is mostly of Irish, German and Italian descent."http://1010wins.com/pages/51753.php
